About Reverse Video EditorStorefront description supplied by Apple.
Play videos backwards and create amazing reverse videos on your iPhone or iPad. Download Reverse Video Editor for free now!
With Reverse Video Editor, you can make an existing video play backwards in just a few steps. Movements suddenly seem to defy gravity, objects put themselves back together, and everyday footage turns into eye-catching Reels, Shorts, Stories, or status videos.
You can select common video formats such as MP4 and MOV from your Photos library and turn them into a new reverse video.
How it works:
1. Download this app (Reverse Video Editor) for free from the App Store and open the app.
2. Select an existing video from your Photos library.
3. Preview the original and choose whether the audio should also play in reverse or the result should be saved without sound.
4. Let the app reverse the video and save it as a new reverse video in the Photos app.
5. Preview the finished result right in the app and share it.
Your original video remains unchanged.
Want to play a video backwards, make a clip run in reverse, or create a reverse-video effect on your iPhone or iPad? This app is made for exactly that—without complicated video-editing software.
Examples of creative reverse-video ideas that others have brought to life with this app:
- A jump into a pool that, when played in reverse, looks as if the person is flying up out of the water.
- A ball thrown onto the ground that appears to bounce back into a hand all by itself.
- A spilled drink that flows back into the glass.
- A torn sheet of paper that seemingly puts itself back together.
- Confetti that flies from the air back into a hand.
Countless other activities look surprising or funny when played backwards. They can become creative video effects, unusual transitions, and entertaining clips for friends, family, and social media.
The entire sequence of images plays backwards. If you enable audio, the soundtrack also plays in reverse. Alternatively, you can save the finished video without sound.
The saved video file contains no visible watermark or app logo. The original resolution is preserved losslessly: 1080p videos stay 1080p, and 4K videos stay 4K. The resolution is not reduced when the reverse video is created.
The video files you select are processed securely and locally on your device. To create the reverse video, the app does not upload them to the cloud or to an external server.
Using the iOS share sheet, you can send your finished reverse video through iMessage, WhatsApp, or other messaging apps, or share it on social media—for example on Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, or YouTube Shorts, as well as in a Story or status update.
Whether it is a funny effect, a creative transition, a little magic video, or a surprising social-media clip, let your creativity run free and impress friends and family with original reverse videos.
