About Wealthsimple PredictStorefront description supplied by Apple.

Wealthsimple Predict is a standalone app for prediction markets — a Canadian platform where you can trade on the outcome of real-world events.

Turn your view into a position

A prediction market is a place to trade on what happens next. Buy a contract — yes or no — based on what you think will happen. If you're right, you profit. If you're wrong, the price you paid is the most you can lose.

The price is the probability

Each contract trades between 1 cent and 99 cents. The price reflects what the market believes will happen. A contract at 72 cents means the market sees a 72% chance. Correct contracts settle at $1.

Trade on what you follow

Take a position on economics, weather and financial markets — the categories currently approved by Canadian regulators. Browse live events, watch prices move in real time, and trade when you have a view.

Will the Bank of Canada cut rates? Will inflation come in above forecast? If you follow it, you can trade on it.

Transparent markets

Prediction markets are peer-to-peer. For every contract there's a buyer and a seller, and the price updates in real time. There's no operator advantage, no built-in spread, and no hidden edge.

How outcomes resolve

Every market has a clear resolution source set out before you trade, so you always know how and when an outcome will be decided. No ambiguity, no discretion.

Built responsibly

We built Wealthsimple Predict responsibly. Learning is built into the product through mandatory onboarding and plain-language definitions, guardrails run through every step from trading-risk reminders to liquidity warnings on quieter markets, and every contract is regulated as a futures contract overseen by Canadian regulators — spanning economic indicators, financial markets, and climate.

Who it's for

Wealthsimple Predict is for anyone with a view on what happens next. Whether you follow markets closely, have strong opinions on politics, or just think you know how the season ends — you can take a position and see how it plays out.
