Keyframe Toolbox finally brings advanced keyframes to Final Cut Pro.
Including powerful, intuitive keyframe graphs and optional on-screen controls, you’ll be able to animate all the common transform properties, plus blur. This is a power-user’s tool to help editors and animators create complex, precise animations on the Final Cut Pro timeline.
You’ll be able to create, move, copy, scale, and precisely set values for linear and non linear keyframes. If you’ve ever used bézier curves for animation in After Effects or Motion, or worked with vectors in a tool like Adobe Illustrator or Affinity, the modifier keys here will match your muscle memory.
NEW! You can import an audio file as a graph to sync it with any kind of movement!
The "Keyframe Toolbox 360 Reframe" effect now enables reframing of 360° footage using the same graphs as the regular "Keyframe Toolbox" effect. (Be sure to follow the Quick Start instructions built in to the top of the effect.)
A few basics to get you started:
- Double-click to add a linear keyframe.
- Hold Shift (⇧) to constrain, moving keyframes or handles in straight lines.
- Hold Option (⌥) or Command (⌘) as you drag on a line or a keyframe to make a non-linear keyframe, or drag on a handle to split it.
We’ve done our best to make it as easy as possible to create, modify, copy, paste, invert, and more, while keeping the basics simple and approachable. Head to keyframetoolbox.fcp.cafe for many more detailed tutorials.
- Flexible presets allow you to create oscillations, bounces, fades, holds, and drifts, with many built-in adjustable options — including the option to flip the preset, and to save and share custom presets. You can apply presets to an entire graph, or to a selected range of keyframes.
- Easing allows you to use many popular types of curves (Sine, Quad, Quint, Expo, etc.) between keyframes, or to soften handles on single keyframes.
- All keyframes can be manually tweaked, moved, edited numerically, and moved or scaled as a group.
- Settings bring flexibility. Use relative timing for simplicity, or absolute timing to line up keyframes with moments in your clips. Settings also allows you to activate motion blur and hide unwanted graphs, and you can save defaults too.
Keyframe Toolbox is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and we hope you love it.
