Every story is short - about 250 words, two or three minutes read aloud - and every one of them ends somewhere calm. Because it is the last thing a child hears before sleep.

EVERY STORY NARRATED
Tap play and listen hands-free. Narration keeps going when the screen locks, so a child can lie down in the dark and simply listen - no glowing screen at bedtime.
ENGLISH AND FRENCH
Most stories are available in both English and French, each narrated by a native speaker. Useful for bilingual families and French-immersion classrooms. A growing number are also offered in Swahili, Yoruba, Hausa, Zulu, Amharic, Haitian Creole and Jamaican Patois.
A NIGHTLY REMINDER
Pick a time and the app will nudge you each evening when it is a story. The reminder is scheduled on your device and nothing is sent over the internet.
FOR PARENTS, TEACHERS AND HOMESCHOOLERS
Each story is paired with a short four-question quiz, so it doubles as a gentle comprehension exercise. Ideal for Black History Month read alouds, world-cultures units and read-aloud time. A progress view tracks reading streaks, stories read and screen-free listening minutes.
WRITTEN WITH CARE
Slavery and segregation are named honestly, in plain words a small child can hold. Nothing is frightening, and every story ends somewhere calm.
New stories are added regularly. DjamgaMind Kids is part of the DjamgaMind family.
