hēdan shows you one task. The one that matters right now. Everything else waits, out of sight, until it's the one that matters.
That's the whole app.
hēdan is a decision eliminator, not a task manager. It was built for people who are overloaded with information, options, and open loops, and just need to know the one priority right now. That includes adults with ADHD and executive function challenges, who feel that overload most. No boards, no tags, no projects, no filters. Every option a tool offers is a decision your brain has to make. hēdan's job is to remove decisions, not add them.
How it works:
Type it on your iPhone or your watch, or just tell Siri. Say "Add to hēdan," speak the task, and it's saved without opening the app. In the app, add a date or a time if it matters. Or don't.
hēdan ranks everything itself. What's urgent rises. What you skip steps aside and comes back when it makes sense. There is no manual sorting, because sorting is a job, and you already have one.
When a task is in front of you, do it or skip it. Skipping is not failure. There are no streaks to break, no guilt trips, no "you haven't completed a task in 3 days." hēdan does not editorialize on your behavior. It just quietly shows you the next thing.
On your wrist:
The Apple Watch is where hēdan lives. Raise your wrist, see one task, act, move on. The iPhone is the control panel; the watch is the point.
What hēdan will never do:
No ads. No tracking. No analytics. Your tasks live on your device and in your private iCloud. They are never sent to any server we run, because we don't run any.
No subscription. Pay once, it's yours.
No gamification. No confetti, no points, no celebrating you like a child.
No engagement tricks. hēdan is not trying to maximize your time in the app. If you open it less over time because your life feels more handled, that's the product working.
hēdan supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion throughout, and respects your system appearance settings.
hēdan is Old English. It means to heed: to pay careful attention, to guard, to look after. It's a verb you do, not a noun the product imposes.
One priority at a time.
