Soma Lite DICOM Viewer

Soma Lite is a fast, private DICOM viewer for the Mac. It runs fully offline — images stay on your machine, and the app requests no network access at all.

IMPORT

• Open DICOM files, folders, zip archives, or patient CDs: drag and drop, File > Open, or double-click in Finder

• Multi-study import with automatic organization by patient, study, and series

WORKLIST

• Sortable worklist with search, date and modality filters, and unread tracking

• Resizable, hideable columns

• Click a series thumbnail to preview and scrub through its slices without opening the study

2D VIEWING

• Window/level presets, zoom, pan, cine, and fast keyboard scrolling

• Length, angle, ellipse, rectangle, Cobb angle, freehand, and arrow annotations

• Draw a length by dragging, or click two points — both work

• Slab projections: MIP, MinIP, and average, adjustable in 1 mm steps

MPR

• Axial, coronal, and sagittal reconstructions from CT and MR volumes

• Oblique rotation, reference lines, slab thickness control, and in-plane measurement

3D

• GPU volume rendering with adjustable presets, clipping, and scissors removal

COMPARE

• Two studies side by side with synchronized scrolling

Reads standard DICOM files from CT, MRI, X-ray (CR/DX), ultrasound, and other imaging modalities.
