BC Transit – OnDemand

Available exclusively in the Kelowna Regional, Squamish, and Powell River transit systems.

OnDemand is BC Transit’s modern, on-request transit service that provides riders with more direct trips, quicker commutes, and shorter wait times.

How it works:

1. Download the app and create an account

2. Select your desired pick-up and drop-off locations, and indicate the number of seats required

3. Receive confirmation and the estimated time of arrival for your bus

4. Track your bus in real time and receive reminders through the app

5. Arrive at your pick-up location before the indicated estimated time of arrival

6. When your vehicle arrives, board and provide the driver with the name used to book the trip

7. Pay your fare

8. Use the app to track your ride and be ready to exit at your stop

9. Exit the bus when it arrives at your destination and the driver announces your stop

Ride sharing:

You will be automatically matched with other riders headed in the same direction. This means you’re getting a ride that is both convenient and efficient.

Accessibility:

OnDemand is wheelchair assessable. If you use a wheelchair, toggle the “Wheelchair accessibility” on in the “Account” tab of your app.
