Clink: Custom Keyboards

A keyboard that's finally yours.

Clink replaces the system keyboard with one you control: the look, the feel, the sound, the layout, the languages, and the tools built into it. Dictation is always free. Try everything else in the Clink app for nothing; to use the keyboard in your other apps, subscribe or buy it once for life.

THEMES

59 built-in themes across solid, metal, 3D keycap and Liquid Glass materials, plus a theme builder that goes as deep as you want. Change fonts, gradients, key shape and outlines, or drop in your own photo. Extensive Mode lets you paint individual keys one by one. Share a theme as a .clinktheme file. Set it to follow Light and Dark Mode, or pin it to one look.

LIQUID GLASS

Ten glass variants: Dark, Light, Clear, Noir, Mint, Ember, Rose, Gold, Aqua and Violet. Keys are translucent and alive, and each one swells under your finger as you swipe. Needs iOS 26 and a recent iPhone.

LAYOUTS

QWERTY, AZERTY, QWERTZ and Dvorak, plus proper layouts for Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, Romanian, Croatian, Nordic, Russian, Ukrainian, Greek, Bulgarian, Arabic, Armenian, Korean 두벌식, Japanese kana and Pinyin. Clink Flow is built for two thumbs. Add a number row, tune height, width, spacing and roundness, add your own keys and rows, or split the keyboard down the middle so your thumbs reach less.

SWIPE TYPING

Trace a path and the word lands on lift. Turn on two-thumb double swipe and both thumbs glide at once. Overlap them to build one word together, keep them apart to type two. Swipe reads contractions, keeps the runner-up words one tap away, and learns what you use. Seven trail looks: Solid, Neon, Rainbow, Sparkle, Comet, Fire and Ocean.

OFFLINE TEXT

Autocomplete and autocorrect in 23 languages, all on device. No account, no network, works on a plane. It learns the fixes you make, catches real-word slips like tat into that, splits run-ons like alot, and resizes each key's touch target toward the letter you're most likely to hit next. On newer iPhones a small on-device model reads the whole sentence for next-word prediction.

AI TOOLS

Proofread, rewrite, shorten, expand, summarise, change tone, or draft a reply without leaving the text field. It runs on Apple Intelligence, on your iPhone. Write your own actions with your own prompts. Nothing is sent anywhere.

DICTATION, FREE FOREVER

Speak instead of typing. No trial, no limit, and it stays free even if you never buy Clink.

HANDWRITING AND TRANSLATE

Scrawl a word with your finger and Clink reads it. Translate what you're about to send into dozens of languages, offline once the pack is downloaded.

PANELS

Clipboard history with groups. A notepad that follows you between apps. A working calculator, a fast emoji picker with skin tones, and a trackpad for precise cursor work. You can also write your own panel in Python and it appears alongside them.

PETS

A small creature perches on your keyboard and reacts to your typing. It hops during fast bursts, startles at a delete, yawns and falls asleep when you pause. Seventeen of them, coloured from your theme.

SOUNDS AND HAPTICS

System click or a custom sound pack, with volume and haptics set as light or as firm as you like.

PROFILES

Save whole setups and switch between them. Sync your profiles and custom themes across your devices with iCloud, or export one to share.

PRIVACY

No accounts. No tracking. No network on the typing path. The app speaks eleven languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Malay, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean.

WHAT COSTS WHAT

Dictation is free. Everything else is free to try inside the Clink app, but using the keyboard in your other apps needs a subscription or the one-time lifetime purchase.

Full Access is optional. It's only needed for haptics, clipboard history and custom sounds. Clink does not log keystrokes or send typing data anywhere.
