Filigree is a melodic sketchpad for developing musical ideas.

HOW IT WORKS

- Start a phrase — draw it on a simple grid with no rhythm notation to wrestle

with, import a MIDI or MusicXML file from your notation app, or tap Random for an

in-key idea to riff on.

- Branch variations — from any phrase, add a mathematically-related variation, or

hit Surprise me for a whole spread at once. Your original always stays put, so you

can explore a full family tree of ideas without losing your place.

- Keep the ones you love — star a variation to save it, then audition it, loop it,

and compare two side by side.
