Kinship Vault is an encrypted document and photo vault designed so that even we cannot access your data.

Now with passwords. Store your logins, passkeys, and 2FA codes in the same encrypted vault as your documents. Autofill them across apps and websites, check them for weak or breached passwords, and keep them recoverable for the people who'll need them.

Your decryption keys are generated and stored in your device’s secure hardware - not on our servers, not in our database, and not in any cloud. You remain in full control of access and recovery at all times.

WHAT IT DOES

• Scan & extract documents (100+ types)

On-device OCR and structured extraction for global documents including passports, IDs, tax forms, visas, health records, and more. Capture with camera or import any photos from your library.

All processing happens locally. Nothing leaves your device.

• Smart expiry reminders

Automatic alerts 90, 30, 7, and 1 days before document expiration.

• Hardware-level encryption

Each document is encrypted using AES-256-GCM with per-document keys. Master keys are protected by Secure Enclave (iOS) and never leave secure hardware in plaintext form.

• Flexible recovery options (your choice)

* Passphrase recovery using a mnemonic you write down, print or store

* Trusted recovery circle using cryptographic key shares as QR codes or printable PDF card . Any 3 of 5 can reconstruct.

* Optional time-based recovery mechanism with designated contacts

• Privacy controls for sensitive data

Health and sensitive documents remain strictly local by default, require biometric authentication, and are excluded from unencrypted exports.

• Tamper-evident activity log

A cryptographically chained audit log of key actions including views, edits, and recovery events.

• Emergency mode

Biometric protection, duress PIN support, and emergency screen fallback after repeated failed attempts.

• Optional encrypted backup

Encrypted backups can be stored in iCloud or exported manually. All backups are encrypted on-device before leaving your phone. Your key to unwrap backup never goes to iCloud.

• Emergency profile access

Store critical details such as blood type, allergies, emergency contacts, and travel ID references for quick access when needed.
