Capture the moment without turning your iPhone into a bright distraction. Screet is a black screen camera and discreet video recorder built for fast, intentional photo and video capture when timing matters.

Use Screet at concerts and live events, during meetings or lectures with permission, for personal safety and incident documentation, for street or travel photography, or whenever a normal camera preview would add glare and pull attention away from the moment.

CAPTURE WITH A DARKER, CLEANER SCREEN

Choose a true black screen or display a photo from your library as the capture background. You can keep the camera interface available, reduce it to minimal controls, or dim the display for a lower-visibility experience. These are visual display choices: Screet remains open in the foreground and iOS camera and microphone indicators continue to work normally.

PHOTO AND VIDEO CONTROLS

• Take photos or record video with microphone audio after granting permission

• Choose the front or rear camera

• Adjust zoom smoothly up to 5× when supported by the selected camera

• Use flash for supported photo captures

• Select HD or 4K resolution

• Record at 30 or 60 FPS on compatible devices and camera formats

• Open the control panel without leaving the capture screen

4K resolution and 60 FPS availability depend on the iPhone model, selected camera, lighting, and supported capture format.

FAST ACCESS WHEN SECONDS MATTER

Open Screet directly in capture mode from the Home Screen widget, Lock Screen widget, app shortcut, supported Siri/App Shortcut phrase, or the Screet deep link. Screet never begins recording automatically: every photo or video starts only after your action.

GESTURES THAT KEEP THE WORKFLOW SIMPLE

Pinch to zoom, swipe to change between the front and rear cameras, swipe up for the control panel, and use the corner controls for capture and settings. New to the layout? Practice Mode teaches the gestures before you record anything, so you can build muscle memory without creating media.

AN ON-DEVICE HIDDEN GALLERY

Turn on Hidden Gallery to save new photos and videos inside Screet instead of the Photos app.

The Screet gallery folder is excluded from device backups. If Hidden Gallery is off, captures can be saved to Photos with the permission you grant.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

• No Screet account is required

• Captured media is not uploaded to a Screet cloud service

• No public profile, social feed, messaging, or automatic posting

• Camera, microphone, Photos, and Face ID permissions are requested only for the features that need them

SCREET PRO

Screet Pro unlocks video recording and advanced camera options, including 4K, 60 FPS, and additional display modes. Available products, trial eligibility, and prices are shown in the app before purchase. Purchases can be restored from Settings.

RECORD RESPONSIBLY

Screet is designed for lawful, consent-aware personal recording and documentation. It does not record in the background, while the iPhone is locked, or without a user starting the capture. The black or custom screen does not remove Apple’s recording indicators. Always obtain any consent required, respect other people’s privacy, and follow the laws and rules that apply where you are.
