- 100% local: SmartQuery runs entirely on your device. Credentials, connections, queries, and all data stay local. There is no cloud—no accounts, no syncing—so your database access never leaves your machine.

- Your credentials, your device: Connection details and credentials are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers because we don't store user data—everything stays under your control.

- Need-to-know basis: Your data is never stored or logged by us. When you use AI features, only the minimum necessary data (e.g. schema information) is sent to the AI provider—row data is never sent.

- Web best practices: Data is always transferred via HTTPS and protected from man-in-the-middle attacks. The web app is protected against XSS and XSRF attacks and other web vulnerabilities.
