I used to switch between multiple weather apps trying to line up the perfect conditions: low tide, blue hour, soft cloud, fog without rain. All for a single long-exposure seascape.

So I built Sól.

Sól is a weather app designed specifically for photographers. It shows weather, fog, tide, and astronomical data in a single scrollable timeline.

Sól’s visual timeline clearly shows golden hour, blue hour, civil twilight, nautical twilight, astronomical twilight, sunrise, and sunset. Weather and tide forecasts are layered directly into the timeline so you can scroll ahead and find the best shooting windows in seconds.

MULTI-SOURCE WEATHER FORECASTS

Sól combines data from Apple Weather, Open-Meteo, Storm Glass, and WorldTides to give you a more reliable view of cloud cover, wind, precipitation, and visibility. Ideal when you are travelling for a sunrise or sunset shoot and need forecasts you can trust.

FOG FORECAST

Fog can transform an ordinary scene into something ethereal. Sól provides dedicated fog predictions using dew point, humidity, wind, cloud cover, precipitation, and visibility so you can anticipate misty mornings and atmospheric conditions.

TIDE FORECASTS FOR COASTAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Plan for low tide rock pools, high tide wave action, mid-tide reflections, and precise water levels for long-exposure photography.

SMART ALERTS
