PLEASE READ FIRST — THIS IS A COMPANION APP
ToneOut does not work on its own. To use it you need:
• A ToneOut server you run yourself (self-hosted via Docker), connected to a compatible Uniden scanner (Currently Supported: SDS200)
• An active, paid ToneOut subscription
The app can be downloaded by anyone, but with no server to connect to it has nothing to show. Start a free trial and set up a server at tone-out.app.

• Virtual faceplate — see the radio's live display and control it remotely

• Read & search transcripts — every transmission is transcribed by on-device AI on your server and is fully searchable by text - never miss an incident
• Scrub the timeline — replay any moment of the day; ToneOut groups transmissions into conversations so you hear the whole exchange, not a single clip
• Alerts that matter — get notified the instant a spoken keyword, street name, unit, or two-tone fire page hits the air — not just when a channel goes active
• Share & cast — Share a transmission to iMessage as a video clip, or AirPlay the live display and transcripts to your TV

ToneOut shines for fire, EMS, and law-enforcement monitoring, but it works for any radio traffic you follow: aviation, railroad, marine, NOAA weather, and more.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your audio, recordings, and transcripts live on the server you control and are never sent to the cloud. The app simply connects to your server.
