• Chord Editor

The Chords by Staventabs app is designed as both an assistant for learning chord construction theory and a tool for exploring chord charts. The lightweight and intuitive editor displays the basic parameters of the current chord.

• Alternative Diagrams

The built-in search engine generates a comprehensive list of alternative diagrams for the chord defined in the editor. Choose the most suitable finger placement and voicing for your playing style.

• Chord Types

Work with a wide range of chord types — over fifty in total — grouped by form, such as Triad, Added tone, Power, and Seventh. For convenience, each type is color-coded according to its quality: Major, Minor, Augmented, Dominant, and others.

• Root Note

The root note chooser provides information about which notes belong to the chord when a specific item is selected. Enharmonically equivalent notes with the same pitch class share identical colors.

• Bass Note and Inversions

Make a chord inverted or add a bass note by choosing from the options allowed for the current chord.

Save your favorite chords and access them seamlessly across all your devices.
