- Auto-detect finds the sensitive fields for you: ID numbers, SSN, address, date of birth, portrait — and the barcode on the back of a license, which repeats the personal details printed on the front: name, address, date of birth, license number, physical description.

- Cover fields with a clean labeled box, or blur or pixelate them.

- Tap a suggestion to apply it; move, resize, or remove any box.

WHAT'S COVERED IS REALLY GONE

- Every export is re-rendered from scratch as a flat image. Covered data no longer exists in the file — there is nothing under the box to recover.

- Location data and other photo metadata never carry over.

- A small visible watermark names the recipient and date, so the copy is clearly made for one purpose — and every copy carries a quiet mark, so if a copy ever turns up somewhere it shouldn't, your log can show which copy it was.

- Sending by email or chat? Export a password-protected PDF instead — CoverTrace suggests a strong, easy-to-read passphrase and the safest way to hand it over.

- A private, on-device log remembers who received each copy and when.
