Mozi: A place for your people

Your people are scattered. Some live in your city, some are an ocean away. Some you saw this month, others it's been a year. You find out a close friend was in town a few days after they left. You forget birthdays you wish you'd remember. You want to host something but don't know who's around to invite. You'd love to take a break from social media, but it's a thread tying you loosely to people you love.

Losing touch with people you care about isn't a failure. It's a hallmark of adulthood. We are creating Mozi to be the app our friendships deserve, and to help us stay close even when we're spread out.

How Mozi works

Social, not media, and private by default. You can find the people you already know on Mozi by syncing your contacts, and request to connect. Connections on Mozi are dual opt in (friend model, not follower model). There are no brands, no public feeds, no follower counts, no ads.

Give Mozi location access (we only use city-level), add friends, add your trips and we make sure you don't miss your people.

The magic of Mozi starts once your people are on it too. After you join, add people you know, and invite the friends you can't wait to see when your lives overlap next. Start with three or four. Add more as you go.

What Mozi helps you do

- See what city your people are in. Share your Live City (city level location) with people you choose. Add your trips, shows, and the events you're going to. Share your plans with people not yet on Mozi so they know where to find you.

- Remember the important details. Things like birthdays, pets/kids names, relationship status, dietary preferences are all a part of the rich profiles you'll see for your connections on Mozi.

- Pick up where you left off. Add private notes about your people — how you met, what they're into, what they mentioned last time. So the next time you see them, you're not starting over. Save group photos, quotes, and inside jokes as Mozi Moments. These add to private timelines with the people who lived them with you.
