Nudge - Focus Companion

Nudge turns your iPhone into a hands-on focus companion for your lighting console.

Drive pan, tilt, zoom and focus the way a gamepad was meant to be used — analog sticks for smooth, velocity-based attribute changes, dedicated buttons for Highlight, Set, Solo, At Full, Clear, Prev and Next. Works with a DualSense (PS5) or other MFi-compatible controller paired over Bluetooth, or with the on-screen controller built into the app.

WHAT IT DOES

• Sends OSC over Wi-Fi — designed and verified against grandMA3, with experimental presets for grandMA2, Chamsys MagicQ and Avolites Titan

• Velocity-based sticks: deflection = speed of change, accumulated smoothly between sends

• Sensitivity slider built right into the Focus pad — adjust pan/tilt feel without leaving the screen

• Per-stick sensitivity sliders on the Connect tab for fine-tuning both sticks

• Console presets — switch between MA3, MA2, Chamsys and Avolites; each preset remembers its own bindings

• Two layouts: a compact Focus pad (one stick + Prev / Highlight / Next / Set / Solo) and a full controller preview

• Fully re-mappable: assign any control to a command-line string for your console — and the Focus Highlight button exposes separate On / Off verbs so you can match each console's exact toggle pair

• Auto-connects over Wi-Fi — no manual connection step

• Optional physical controller support — gamepad + phone both active at once

• Light / Dark / System theme

• Pocket mode — keep driving the console from a paired controller while the iPhone is locked in your pocket

SETUP

1. Pick your console preset on the Mapping tab (MA3, MA2, Chamsys or Avolites)

2. Configure the console to receive OSC — Nudge has an in-app walk-through for each preset

3. Connect your iPhone to the same Wi-Fi as the console

4. Enter the console IP and port on the Connect tab — Nudge connects automatically

• iOS 16 or later

• A lighting console reachable over Wi-Fi

• Optional: DualSense (PS5) or other MFi wireless controller

PRIVACY

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. All settings stay on the device; OSC traffic only goes to the console IP you enter.
