Private Photo Scrubber

Private Photo Scrubber helps you inspect privacy-related photo metadata before sharing an image, create a new scrubbed JPEG copy, and independently re-check the output.

INSPECT BEFORE SHARING

• Choose 1–20 photos with the iOS system photo picker.

• Review supported location, capture-time, device, software, description, and copyright fields.

• See unclassified metadata separately instead of hiding it behind a broad privacy claim.

CREATE AND RE-CHECK

• Remove location fields only, or all supported privacy fields.

• Create a new JPEG copy without editing or deleting the original.

• Re-parse the output and show Verified only when the selected supported fields are absent.

• Check the original file before and after processing to guard against unintended changes.

SAVE OR SHARE

• Save verified copies with add-only photo-library permission.

• Share individual verified copies through the iOS share sheet.

• Retry individual processing or save failures without losing successful results.

• Keep optional on-device run summaries containing counts and status only.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Photo inspection and processing happen on the device. The app has no account, cloud upload, analytics SDK, advertising identifier, tracking service, or runtime network service.

IMPORTANT LIMITS

JPEG and HEIC/HEIF still images are supported up to 50 megapixels and 30 MB per file. HEIC/HEIF inputs are converted to JPEG. PNG, RAW, video, and Live Photo pairs are not processed. Verified covers the selected supported fields only; it is not a guarantee against unclassified metadata, hidden payloads, or steganography.
