01 · THREE WAYS TO SPLIT

Smart Cuts is on-device scene detection built for real footage. Hard cuts land on the exact frame, dissolves and fades are caught mid-transition, and flashes or fast pans do not fool it. Adjust sensitivity when you want more — or fewer — cuts. Or skip detection entirely and split every 15, 30 or 60 seconds, or into an exact number of equal parts.

02 · REFINE

The stage is a focused mini-editor. Select any cut, trim its in and out frame by frame, or type an exact timecode. Add manual cuts, remove scenes, and undo or redo with standard Mac shortcuts.

03 · EVERY CUT, ITS OWN RECIPE

Give each cut its own aspect ratio, reframe, zoom, pan, letterbox removal and color. Reframe for vertical 9:16 or square 1:1 delivery. Apply Auto Enhance or choose from 11 cinematic looks. Set one cut or every cut at once. What you see in the preview is what Splits exports.

04 · EXPORT ANYTHING

Video as MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV or WebM — H.264, HEVC, ProRes, VP8, VP9, AV1 or lossless FFV1. Frame sequences as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC, AVIF, WebP or OpenEXR. Animations as GIF, APNG or animated WebP. And each cut's audio on its own, as AAC, ALAC, MP3, FLAC, Opus, WAV, AIFF or CAF. Re-time output from 8 to 60 fps, and see before you export whether a job will be lossless, re-encoded or mixed.
