Formline - Precision Drawing

Formline is a precise drawing and planning app for iPad and Mac: measured 2D plans, 3D room and site planning, and parametric build projects — together in one local document.

Use it when you need something more structured than a sketch but lighter than full CAD: reorganising a room, planning a garage or backyard, checking whether furniture fits, or working out exactly what to build and buy.

PLAN — measured 2D drawing

- Clearance presets and fit issues that warn when something will not fit, including furniture blocking a door swing

- Free rotation, direct 3D floor dragging, and tap-to-edit dimensions on the canvas

- A homeowner-friendly Project Report PDF and a materials/shopping export

BUILD — parametric projects with cut lists

- Shelving, cabinets, wardrobes, workbenches, garden beds, planters, sheds, desks, dining and coffee tables, dressers, and TV stands

- Live 3D preview plus dimensioned front/side elevation drawings

- Cut lists, hardware and fastener estimates, and cost estimates in your local currency

- Place any Build project into your Space plan as a linked snapshot that only updates when you say so

Everything stays local. Documents are native .formline files shared between iPad and Mac, with no account, no analytics, and no cloud requirement. On Mac, Formline adds document windows, keyboard commands, Finder import/save-as, rulers, guides, and print.

Formline is intentionally focused. It is not a full CAD suite or BIM tool — it is a compact precision workspace for people who want to plan clearly and keep moving.

Privacy note: Formline is local-first. It does not require an account and does not collect analytics, telemetry, contacts, location, photos, camera, or microphone data.
