Converto: File Converter

Converto is a fast, private media converter for iPhone and iPad, built entirely in native SwiftUI.

Convert images, audio and video directly on your device. No internet connection, no account, no uploads — every conversion runs locally, so your files never leave your device.

IMAGES

Convert to JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, AVIF (where supported), TIFF, GIF, BMP and PDF, with adjustable quality. On Mac you also get JPEG 2000, PSD, TGA, OpenEXR and GPU texture formats (KTX, KTX2, ASTC).

AUDIO

Convert to M4A (AAC), ALAC (lossless), FLAC (lossless), AIFF, WAV or CAF, with control over bitrate, sample rate and channels. You can also extract the audio track straight from a video file.

VIDEO

Convert to MP4, MOV, M4V or HEVC (H.264 / H.265), with quality presets from low to ultra. ProRes output is available on Mac.

ON MAC

Converto includes a built-in local MCP (Model Context Protocol) server: AI agents like Claude Desktop or Cursor can convert your files through Converto. It runs only on your Mac (loopback, never exposed to the network) and is off until you enable it in Settings.
