Performance Directions

This glossary includes approximately 500 musical terms covered by Music Theory Syllabus of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and each musical term is marked by asterisks (***, **, *) according to the frequency of use. Each musical term is clearly explained in both English and Chinese. Proper pronunciation and explanation of the musical terms in English are provided by Dr. Derek Anthony (multilingual singer). International Phonetic Alphabet notation is also provided for these terms.
