Data Sources and Disclaimer
AppPriceData separates source observations from interpretation. This page summarizes the public sources behind the product and the boundaries users should keep in mind when reading prices, rankings, promotions, and regional comparisons.
Last updated: August 19, 2026Apple public sources
Apple app identity, download price, and availability observations come from publicly accessible Apple catalog, Search/Lookup, App Store product-page, and chart-feed surfaces. Public in-app purchase items are collected only when they are exposed on public product pages; these lists can be incomplete.
iOS, iPadOS, and macOS rankings are stored as separate dated observations. A ranking shown on AppPriceData is not a claim that the same position still exists after the observation time.
Google Play public sources
Google Play app metadata, public prices, and ranked collections are observed from publicly reachable Google Play pages with country-specific parameters. AppPriceData does not claim access to private developer-console data or every private product, offer, or eligibility rule.
Promotions and TestFlight sources
Limited-time promotions and TestFlight links may be discovered from public community sources. Where available, AppPriceData keeps the public source URL and publication time. TestFlight links are checked against Apple's invitation page before being presented as active, but capacity can change afterward.
Exchange-rate references
Regional comparison views preserve each local store price as the source value and add a dated reference conversion using configured ECB and exchange-rate feeds. Converted amounts are comparison aids, not card settlement rates, tax calculations, or final checkout prices.
Observation model
AppPriceData records when a value was observed. Some histories are change-only records rather than daily duplicate snapshots, and collection schedules differ by data type and platform. A timestamp means AppPriceData observed the value at that time; it does not prove the value remained unchanged afterward.
Independence and limitations
AppPriceData is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc., Google LLC, or the developers whose apps appear on the site. Storefronts, parsers, feeds, and public pages can change, which can create temporary gaps or stale records.
